Dress Code in Vietnam

"Vietnam is a country known for its multicultural and traditions. The Vietnamese are very simple people, which are reflected in their way of living and especially in their clothes. Furthermore, there is a conservative nature of dress in the country. Western women are recommended to cover their shoulders and knees during the day in order to be respectful of local custom

Moreover, there is no dress code law but if you decide to visit the temples in the country it is better to wear polite dress and modestly. There are many shops and tailors in Vietnam where you can buy and get clothing made for a cheap price. You will find it hard to find suitably sized clothing as the Vietnamese women are really small and slim. You may find clothing at international department stores, but this may be more expensive than in your home country, or may not have the range" (expatwoman.com, n.d).
